The theme this year was “Take Time to Pray: Checking in with God.” The retreat was held at the Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside. Women explored different kinds of prayer, and looked at ways to enrich everyday lives through prayer.
On Thursday, May 1st, at SDSU, a prayer and worship tent will be set up from 9:00am to 4:00pm. We encourage people to join in a time of prayer with students and ministry leaders. If you would like to go together, please meet at Faith at 10:45am and a group will walk together. The SDSU Farmer’s Market (with food booths) will also be happening; plan on enjoying lunch on campus as well. Cara Ann Maeda is the contact person. Call the church office (619) 582-8480 or send e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.

This ministry supports programs of Presbyterian partner churches overseas to promote the health, education, and development of women and children and alleviate poverty. Programs include literacy training, primary and non-formal education, women’s leadership development, health education, water and sanitation, prenatal and obstetrical services, childhood health screenings, immunizations, and feeding programs and food-security endeavors. See Ruthe Anne Christ if you have any questions or any members of our Women’s Circle. Thank you for your support!
A special thanks to all the behind-the-scenes workers who made this past Holy Week and Easter celebration an inspiring and blessed event; Palm Sunday’s secret angels, the power of the Tenebrae Service and then the beauty of Easter morning. Thank you to all who worked long hours to make this happen. This year’s Pancake Breakfast was a huge success and was said to be beautiful and delicious – many people working hard made this Easter a memorable one – thank you all!
