Our 2016 Men’s Retreat will be held, February 5 – February 7 at Pine Valley Bible Conference Center. (http://pinevalleybible.com).
This year’s retreat will focus on how compartmentalized our relationship with God can become. Why is that all things sacred seem to be focused on “Sunday and Church” when God is present and active in all things. We all would affirm God’s activity 24/7 in all places, yet we do not think of Monday thru Saturday as sacred time. The retreat will center on the book “Garden City: Work, Rest and the Art of Being Human,” written by John Mark Comer.
Cost is $150.00 per person (double occupancy) – two nights lodging and 4 meals; $165.00 for private bathroom.
Please sign up after Sunday worship or call the church office at (619) 582-8480.
We will form carpools as it get closer.
You’re invited to kick off the semester with prayer and worship hosted by InterVarsity. The 48-Hour Prayer Room will be back again this semester on Friday, January 15 thru Sunday, January 17. This can be an incredible opportunity to not only pray for SDSU and God’s work on the campus, but also to expand your own prayer life. The prayer room contains stations of guided prayer. These stations may give you prompts on what to pray for or even give you a new way to approach prayer, such as through creative art. It is always an amazing experience and your hour there will go by faster than you would think. Sign up for your hour on the clipboard outside the sanctuary on Sunday mornings or online by clicking the link below:
We will launch our 48-hour Prayer Room with a night of worship at 7:00pm on Friday in the Prayer Room. Join us!
