Join us Christmas caroling on December 20th at 6:00pm. We will meet in the Fellowship hall and will carpool to our destinations. Please dress warmly and bring flashlight.
Please bring a can of chili and our chef will prepare a chili dinner for us upon our return from caroling.
We are sponsoring a family this Christmas through PUM(Presbyterian Urban Ministries)! The family consists of a mom and dad and three boys (a set of twins and a three-year old). They just got their apartment and the mom has a job. The dad stays home to look after their special-needs son.
If you are not sure of what to give, please see Michelle Crownhart after worship on Sundays for a list of sizes and likes. If you would rather give cash, we do accept cash donations.
PUM is also collecting items to keep people warm this winter. We appreciate donations of blankets, diapers, jackets and warm undies. Food donation is also welcome!
Thank you for any help you can give.
If you would like more information about PUM, please visit their website http://pumsd.org.
The leaders from our Session and the staff of our church have written daily Advent devotions for you.

We will have fellowship/coffee time starting at 6:15pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Have a blessed, peaceful and joyful Christmas!
You are all joyfully invited to our Christmas Concert celebrating the birth of Christ, December 13 at 7:00pm.
Our concert will feature our choir and handbell ensemble, a string ensemble, Martha Lenocker, soprano soloist; Rhonda Fleming, our accompanist; and you, the congregation! The program will feature a wide variety of Christmas music along some congregational carols.

This Christmas, PUM’s request is for 200 packages of “dried spaghetti.”
Presbyterian Urban Ministries’ food bags in the past have been assembled based on a “traditional” Christmas meal menu. It occurred to them that the selected food was not “traditional” for many of the families that they serve. This year, the plan is to pack a bag that will feed a family of four for more than just one meal.
Please bring your donation to church on Sundays and drop it off in the box marked PUM in the narthex. You also may bring your donation to the office during business hours Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Thank you for generosity.
Military Outreach Ministries (MOM) will again set up Christmas stores for our San Diego military families. These Christmas stores will be a place for military families to come and shop for gifts for their children. MOM serves many families in this way during the Christmas holidays.
Help the MOM bring Christmas joy to our military families. Please bring unwrapped toys for babies, toddlers, children ages 2-12 and teens 13-14.
See Carolyn Taxer on Sundays after worship with any questions, or leave a message for her at the church office by calling (619) 582-8480 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you know, our San Diego MOM has FREE MONTHLY FOOD MINISTRIES AND BREAD MINISTRIES? There are many, many more ways they help our military community, and if interested to find out more about MOM and about all the good things they do year-round, please visit: http://www.sandiegomom.org/
Are you looking for a new way to experience the spirit of Christmas in your gift giving this year? Come visit the Holiday Mission Fair on November 1, 2015 in the Fellowship hall after worship. We will have a number of our local mission agencies present to suggest donations that can be used as gifts for people, as well as many beautiful handmade crafts from other parts of the world available for purchase. And we are happy to have the beautiful Afghan jewelry back this year. Come start your shopping early.
Words for Meditation
“Each year some new heart finally hears, finally sees, finally knows love. And in heaven there is great rejoicing! The Child is born anew and one more knee is bowed.” By Ann Weems
Christmas Eve – Children’s Activity Space
After the 5:30 PM Family Service and during the 7:30 PM Traditional Christmas Eve Service, the church will offer an activity space in Room 2 for children. There will be crafts, activities, and the Christmas Story! At the end of the service the children will meet their families for the candlelight time in the courtyard.
There is still time to help us Adopt a Family for Christmas
As you know, Faith Presbyterian is adopting a family through the Presbyterian Urban Ministries (PUM) in San Diego. If anyone would like to help out you can contact Michelle Crownhart through the church office at 619-582-8480. She has the list of suggestions for the family and will be coordinating the Christmas delivery. Thank you all so much!
