Lenten Vesper Services

Lenten Season

Join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00-7:30pm in the sanctuary, March 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9 for a quiet time of reflection during this Lenten season. We offer these times of gathering as a way of staying in touch with the season and its meaning for our lives as followers of Jesus. As Jesus drew closer to the time of his death in Jerusalem, he experienced a heightened level of confrontation from the religious authorities of his day. His disciples were confused about his mission and their discipleship. It was a difficult time in Jesus’ life and his faithfulness to God’s purposes are an inspiration for us and a challenge for us.

The Vesper services are a time of prayer, silence, scripture and singing. Guided by the Psalms from the lectionary for this year we will journey through this Lenten season in preparation to experience the tragedy and glory of Holy Week and Easter.
