We are sponsoring a family this Christmas through PUM(Presbyterian Urban Ministries)! The family consists of a mom and dad and three boys (a set of twins and a three-year old). They just got their apartment and the mom has a job. The dad stays home to look after their special-needs son.
If you are not sure of what to give, please see Michelle Crownhart after worship on Sundays for a list of sizes and likes. If you would rather give cash, we do accept cash donations.
PUM is also collecting items to keep people warm this winter. We appreciate donations of blankets, diapers, jackets and warm undies. Food donation is also welcome!
Thank you for any help you can give.

Every year, Presbyterian Urban Ministries receives the food from the City Heights Post Office Stamp Out Hunger food drive. We need helpers to sort and unload food at PUM!
Saturday, May 14, 3:30 p.m.
at Presbyterian Urban Ministries
2459 Market St., San Diego 92104 (we will be sorting in the back parking lot)
This is a key opportunity to help PUM get food to our needy families in San Diego. It’s a great opportunity for families and kids, too–all are welcome and it is a lot of fun! For more information or to sign up, call Susan, PUM’s office manager, at (619) 583-4022.
***We are in need of a few volunteers with trucks. If you have one you can bring, let Susan know!
This Christmas, PUM’s request is for 200 packages of “dried spaghetti.”
Presbyterian Urban Ministries’ food bags in the past have been assembled based on a “traditional” Christmas meal menu. It occurred to them that the selected food was not “traditional” for many of the families that they serve. This year, the plan is to pack a bag that will feed a family of four for more than just one meal.
Please bring your donation to church on Sundays and drop it off in the box marked PUM in the narthex. You also may bring your donation to the office during business hours Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Thank you for generosity.
Next Sunday, May 10th, Presbyterian Urban Ministries (PUM) will receive food from the U.S. Postal Service’s Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. PUM will be needing volunteers to help with receiving and sorting of food. Can you help? Call (619) 232-2753 or send e-mail to email@example.com.
PUM is located at 2459 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92102. Please visit their website at http://www.pumsd.org for more information.
