Women

The Women of Faith meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:30am in room 2 (except for July and August). Their meetings provide a Bible study from a woman’s point of view.  Each meeting consists of Bible study, prayer, mission work, and fellowship. They use the Presbyterian Women’s Horizon magazine as a study guide.

The women’s group participates in three nationwide mission projects, with an emphasis on helping women around the world. The first project is called “Least Coin,” where they join women across the country by giving their least coin (i.e., pennies) and prayers, and the money goes to world missions. During the fall they take a “Thank” offering and during the spring they take a “Birthday” offering, with the money supporting programs in the US and around the world.

Heifer International

The Women of Faith’s own project is known as the “Pink Piggy Bank.” All year they put their loose change in the pig at each meeting. During their December Christmas Luncheon they count the money to see what animal they can afford to buy for the Heifer International organization. In the past they have purchased llamas, a water buffalo, and a sheep.

The Women of Faith also participate in the greater San Diego Presbytery (PWP) meetings that include women of all the Churches in prayer, discussing missions, and experiencing wonderful fellowship. Come join us. Contact the church office at 619-582-8480.
